I Miss Your Company

I’m throwin’ phrases at the wall, but nothin’s really stickin’
Sittin’ around this campfire with my friends, slowly pickin’
While the coffee’s percolating, I’m debatin’ how to let you know
Hell, I’m no Billy Shakespeare; I just miss your company

There’s beauty all around me, but I don’t even see it
I was lookin’ for a constant companion, ya didn’t wanna be it
I’m sortin’ through my feelings ‘n I’m dealing with the hand I’ve been dealt
Things should’ve been different; I just miss your company

Every time I see the storm clouds gather all around
Or hear the sound of thunder crashing to the ground, I yearn
I’ll be wishing for your company

Back home in the city, lights are slowly blinkin’
I’m stuck here in this traffic, I got lots of time for thinkin’
Every word you said, is rattlin’ in my head, I can’t let you go
I don’t know how to tell you, I just miss your company

Every time I see the storm clouds gather all around
Or hear the sound of thunder crashing to the ground, I yearn
I’ll be wishing for your company

I’m throwin’ phrases at the wall, but nothin’s really stickin’
